About Me

My name is Dianne, and I am a counsellor located in Elgin. I’m married and have five adult children, three grandchildren and a small dog. I have a passion for learning, enjoy swimming, and cherish spending time with my family. Throughout my diverse career, I’ve always worked within caring roles supporting people, starting in hairdressing and home care for the elderly, then with care-experienced young people, and most recently as an assistant community care officer. I have always been the friend others turned to for a listening ear, offering advice when requested and keeping confidences. Before pursuing formal training as a counsellor, I recognized the importance of my own personal healing. I believed my life experiences would me assist others, but I knew I needed to come to terms my past before embarking on my professional counselling journey. Having navigated this process myself, I understand it can be daunting at times, but I am here to alongside you as you work towards feeling better.
